VaasaETT Global Energy Think-Tank

The VaasaETT Global Energy Think-Tank is a unique collaborative concept based on the philosophy of mutuality. Through its network of thousands of senior executives, officials, researchers and other experts who are for the most part known and trusted personally, the Think-Tank provides value-to-all by combining an interactive Community and Collaborative Projects. The Think-Tank focuses broadly on practical strategic business and market issues, as well as envisioning state of the art innovations and developments.

Sharing and Discussion is Key

The VaasaETT Global Energy Think-Tank philosophy is that through discussion and knowledge sharing we all become stronger and can find solutions together. This philosophy is realized by the Think-Tank through linking experts, helping them to interact and making knowledge publicly available in the form of articles, reports, data sets, trend analyses, public presentations and so on.

The Community (including Events, Round-Tables, DataShare, Discussion Forums and Expert Exploration) delivers the sharing and discussion, while Collaborative Projects (many of which are public) provide additional content, solutions to current challenges as well as bringing network members closer together.

Independence

Independence and trust are paramount for the VaasaETT Global Energy Think-Tank. We say what we think (but don’t worry we are not rude or unfair, nor aim to harm our network members) and our independence is overseen by an independent, unpaid, high-level and highly respected peer group known as the Advisory Committee.

Where Do We Earn Our Money?

Membership of our network and much of the information contained within it is free. This is only possible because of our commercial activities. We earn our money in several ways: event attendance fees (though our events are always low cost for attendees); private and funded collaboration projects that we organize, manage or take part in; subscription and advertising fees; and introduction fees.

Data Protection and Intellectual Property

The VaasaETT Global Energy Think-Tank typically makes non-disclosure agreements with all partners and clients wherever confidentiality is a concern. In any case we have built our reputation on trust and we never share information which is derived in a confidential manner.
