
Cameron O’Reilly is the Executive Director of the ERAA, the peak industry body representing retailers of electricity and gas in the National Electricity Market (NEM) and the Western Australian electricity market. He is also a Director of the Australian Gas Industry Trust (AGIT) and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Global Energy Think Tank.
Cameron is a former policy adviser to the Federal Government and holds a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and a Master of Management and Public Policy from Monash University, where he undertook a major research essay on the genesis of the National Electricity Market (NEM).
In 2008 Cameron was awarded the Fulbright Australia-US Alliance Studies professional scholarship sponsored by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, through which he spent three months in 2009 based at the University of Texas in Austin researching the impact of climate change policy on the US energy sector. Cameron has had a number of comment pieces published in the Australian Financial Review, the Australian and the Age and was formerly a public affairs commentator on ABC radio.
