lewiner_colette-2007 Colette Lewiner’s long and highly distinguished career has included being Executive Vice President Business Development and Sales at EDF (the first woman ever to hold this position); Chairman and CEO at SGN Eurisys (Subsidiary of Areva); and Since 1998 Colette has been Vice President and Global Leader of the Energy, Utilities and Chemicals Global Sector Unit at Capgemini.

Educated at Ecole Normale Supérieure (one of the leading French higher Education schools), Coletter obtained a Ph.D with specialism in Solid StatecPhysics, after which she became Associate professor at Paris University.

Colette has also published extensively including: publication of the “Que sais-je” collection book on nuclear power plants (April 1988); 60 publications and conferences on nuclear energy; 40 articles and conferences on the utilities and oil and gas markets; and numerous publications on research and education and the women’s role in science and business. She also founded WIN (Women In Nuclear association), is a member of the French Academy of Technologies and of the European Union Advisory Group on Energy, and is an Officer in the Legion of Honnor and Commandor in the Order of Merit, as well as a non executive director at Nexans, La Poste and TGS-Nopec.
